This place was right up the street from where we were staying. We speak little french, but the server was so helpful and patient with us. Sitting outside, even on a cold day to watch the people walking by, is such a great experience. Also in this setting, it's nice to talk and meet locals and even tourists.
And it was the first place we have ever tried French onion soup. Wow. It was amazing. We traveled around Paris and tried it at other places, no where compared. So flavorful and cheesy! My husband tried the garlic escargot, and said it was the best he's ever had.
Such a nice place to rest after strolling through Montmartre! -

The server was very good, considering the number of tables she was covering. The majority of our food was substandard!!!! The onion soup was mediocre. The tomato and mozzarella starter was over priced and the tomato was not ripe. The chicken was super thin and dry as hell, with no flavor; they forgot to add the mushroom sauce, which they brought me later, it did not add anything to the dish. The club sandwich consisted of 3 thin slices of ham and 1 slice cheese with wilted lettuce and tomato. The fries looked and tasted days old. Don't order the mojito, it's a counterfeit! So what was ok, the pizza, escargot, and the beer. Needless to say we were VERY disappointed after a very loooooong wait! Ok

If you are near Abbesses and you are hungry at midnight this is the place to go. This is a typical French cafe with tables outside that serves plates with cheese and charcuterie after midnight, as well as croque monsieur. The cheese was great. So I would really recommend sharing one of these plates and order half a bottle or a full bottle of wine. The croque monsieur was not very good. Finally, the service is super nice. So it's a good option to have eat at night.

We just stopped in for some afternoon cocktails before heading to our next tourist destination.
We sat outside and ordered rose wine to share, and a coffee liquor cocktail that was huge. The wine was delicious and the cocktail was strong and smothered in delicious whip.
Prices are reasonable for drinks.
Service is fantastic.
There is complimentary WiFi. -

Not French? Then you're going to have a problem. Service seems to only cater to the locals, and don't have any patience to deal with tourists just trying to have a meal after a long day of sightseeing. Want to eat? You're going to have a problem. Most locals seem to come here just to drink, and taking a simple order can take as long as 15 minutes after being seated. The waitress spoke very fast in french, and after I asked her to speak in English seemed annoyed and didn't end up serving our table at all. The host and the other waitress picked up the slack, and I couldn't even get our original waitress to refill our bottle of water (while she continued to serve the multiple drunk locals sitting behind us with pleasure). If you want a quiet place to eat and people-watch with good service, then this is definitely not the place for you. Food is average at best.
